Shannon Gigounas named as United Medical Systems’ President

We are pleased to announce that Shannon Gigounas has been appointed President of United Medical Systems Inc. (“UMS”), effective April 15, 2024.

Shannon brings a wealth of healthcare leadership experience to UMS. She previously served as Founder/CEO of Synergy Health Center & Urgent Care, overseeing urgent care and multispecialty health centers in California. Additionally, Shannon held the position of EVP of Operations at Medcor, Inc., a nationwide employer-sponsored healthcare company with over 200 clinics, and most recently served as COO of QuadMed, Inc., a publicly traded company with over 70 health centers. Shannon also has over 20 years of clinical experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

We are excited about the contributions Shannon’s significant expertise and leadership will bring to her new role. With her extensive background in healthcare and proven leadership capabilities she is well-suited to guide UMS through the next phase of our journey.
